Salvia Nutans

(NODDING SAGE) aka Salvia pendula.  Distinctive Salvia with nodding, pendant clusters of purple from the tops of 4’ stems that emerge from a tight basal clump of leaves…otherwise known as ‘WHAT’S THAT?!’ by our customers during the summer.  As the tall stems sway in the breeze, they invite pollinators to dance while they try to hang onto the blossoms.  Full sun to part shade, well drained, consistently moist (not wet) soil.  Flowers also swell in arrangements.  Deer resistant for us.
